KY. PARENTS SHOW UP TO CHILD SUPPORT OFFICE HIGH WITH INFANT CHILD

A Laurel County, Kentucky, couple is behind bars after authorities say they showed up to the county’s child-support office after taking opiates. Officers responded to the courthouse Thursday as 27-year-old Sarah Roberts appeared to be intoxicated. They say Roberts admitted to taking Suboxone before showing up at the courthouse, and she was driven by the father of her child. Authorities went to the car and discovered the driver, 45-year-old Elmer Smith, was also under the influence. Smith admitted to snorting meth and using Suboxone. Both were charged with violations including wanton endangerment.
