The Stone Memorial Lady Panthers started their run for the state high school basketball championship this morning and did so in grand fashion.

The Lady Panthers defeated Science Hill 61 to 46 to advance to the final four Friday (March 13, 2020) as they will play Whitehaven at 10 a.m. at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.

Emma Capps led the scoring for the Lady Panthers with 25 followed by Tessa Miller with 14, Mattie Buck and Keaton Freitag had 7 points each, and Chloe Roark scored 4 points. Capps made 3 of 7 three point shots for the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Panthers as a team hit 19 of 41 shots in the game for 46 percent. The Lady Panthers were great at the free throw line sinking 17 of 20 for 85 percent.
