LAKE TANSI POLICE CHIEF RESIGNS; SERGEANT JENNIE PHILLIPS APPOINTED INTERIM CHIEF
Lake Tansi Police Department Chief Keanan Austin has officially stepped down from his position, effective immediately.
In an announcement released by Lake Tansi Property Owners Association (POA) General Manager Sam McAdoo, leadership expressed gratitude for Austin’s tenure. Austin was credited with guiding the department through a challenging transition and rebuilding phase following shifts in Tennessee certification requirements that necessitated the establishment of a brand-new police force for the community.
Stepping into the leadership role during the interim is Sergeant Jennie Phillips. Phillips will serve as interim police chief while the Board of Directors initiates the search process to find a permanent replacement.
Community leaders and the POA Board extended their thanks to Austin for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors.
