Graveside funeral services for Lawrence Reeves Jr., age 91, of the Anderson community of Monterey will be conducted Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Mayland Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Reeves was born May 6, 1929 in Crossville, Tennessee. He was a dairy farmer and gardener. He was a United States Air Force World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife: Edna Rae Reeves; son: Mark (Ruth Ann) Reeves of Mayland, Tennessee; step daughters: Debbie and Jerry Vaughn Of Monterey, Shannon And Stacy Padgett of Monterey; grandchildren: Chad (Tiffany) Reeves and Holly McLain; great-grandchildren: Bryson, Clay, Nathan, and Olivia; step-grandchildren: Courtney Padgett, Sabra Savage, Brandon Welch, and Travis Welch; step great-grandchildren: Elli Savage and Jerron Savage; sister: Anna Pearl Simmons of Ohio; special niece: Rhonda and Frank Matheney; and a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Joan Melton Reeves; daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Larry Williams; infant daughter: Sunshine Reeves; step son: Danny Welch; daughter-in-law: Darlene Reeves; sisters: Geneva Wilbanks and Christine Kilgore; and brothers: Paul, Billy, Burl, Earl, Ray, Clifford and Robert Reeves.
