LEMONS CHARGED WITH DUI AFTER TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN CUMBERLAND CO.
One person was injured following a two vehicle accident in Cumberland County yesterday morning. Troopers say a 1996 Ford F-150 driven by 58-year-old Michael Lemons of Sparta was traveling on Highway 60 when he crossed the center line in a curve and struck an oncoming 2004 GMC van operated by 57-year-old Richard Smith of Crossville. Lemons vehicle left the road, went up an embankment and hit a tree. Lemons was the only injury reported. He was charged with DUI, failure to maintain his lane of travel, failure to exercise due care and driving without using a seat belt.
