LIFE STAR FLIES IN TO SAVE ROANE COUNTY WOMAN

Saturday evening, the University of Tennessee’s Life Star flew into the southern portion of Roane County near the Monroe County line to transport a female who had allegedly shot herself.

South Roane County Fire Department officials went to the scene to administer first aid until an ambulance could arrive to transport the 37-year-old female to meet the waiting Life Star at the Cedar Fork Baptist church parking lot. Also, Fire Department Personnel assisted at the landing zone.

According to sources, the female was alert and oriented while being transported.

No further details were given. This occurred around 7:15 on Saturday evening.
