LOCAL AND AREA SCHOOL SYSTEMS NAMED IN STATE ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT
The Tennessee Department of Education has released its accountability data report, which identifies which districts and schools are performing at a high level and which may need additional support.
The classifications given to the school systems are exemplary, advancing, and satisfactory.
School districts are expected to increase achievement levels for all students and demonstrate student growth across all student groups under Tennessee’s accountability system.
School districts classified as exemplary in our area include Bledsoe County and Sweetwater City Schools.
Local and area school systems named advancing include Alvin C York Institute, Anderson County, Athens City Schools, Blount, Bradley, Cumberland County, Dayton City schools, Loudon, Meigs, McMinn, Oak Ridge schools, Rhea, and Roane County.
School systems in the area named as satisfactory include Fentress, Knox, and Morgan County.
