LOUISIANA MAN WHO KILLED PARENTS APPEARS IN KNOX COUNTY COURT

The man who is accused of killing and then dismembering both his parents appeared in a Knox County court Monday. 30-year-old Joel Guy took the witness stand on his behalf where he talked about what happened after the deaths. According to investigators, Guy was home from college for Thanksgiving when he stabbed both parents to death and then dissolved their bodies in acid. He talked about having severe cuts to his hands and driving back to Louisiana to have them treated. It’s believed that Guy committed the heinous crime because his parents were getting ready to cut him off financially. At one point Guy stated that his mother was providing him with living expenses. The judge is scheduled to hear several motions this week. He will make a determination then at how much evidence can be admitted at a trial. Guy’s mental attitude will also be addressed.
