LOW HANGING WIRES CA– USE TROUBLE FOR TRACTOR-TRAILER RIG
A truck driver got entangled in utility pole cables in Crossville Monday. According to police reports, the tractor-trailer owned by Swing Transportation, was pulling into the drop lot for Flowers Bakery when the trailer snagged a cable line. During that time, two poles snapped and fell. A fence sustained damage from one of the fallen poles and a fiber optic cable was pulled from a building. Officers said that it appeared that a wire had been snagged a few days before by another truck and that due to installation of a new pole some lines were hanging lower than usual. During the incident, Crossville Police were assisted by the Crossville Fire Dept. and Vol First crews.
