MAE BEAVERS DROPS OUT OF GOVERNOR’S RACE

Former Senator Mae Beavers has dropped out of the race for Tennessee governor. Beavers announced her decision on Tuesday in a statement on her campaign Facebook page. She told her supporters that she did not make the decision lightly, but that it was the right choice. Beavers ended stating that she would seek retirement after being an elected official for decades. Other Republicans running for the office include Diane Black, Beth Harwell, Randy Boyd, Bill Lee along with Democrat Karl Dean.
