MAIN DEFENDANT IN OOLTEWAH HIGH SCHOOL RAPE TRIAL FOUND GUILTY

The main suspect in the Ooltewah High School rape trial was found guilty as charged Tuesday with the other suspects being found guilty of aggravated assault. All were taken to jail after their court appearance. According to the victim’s attorney Eddie Schmidt, a sentencing hearing of some type will be held in September. He says that a civil lawsuit will be filed against the Hamilton County School Board in the family’s behalf in the next few days. The hearing was closed off to the public and the press due to the age of the accused and the subject matter.
