MAN ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS HIMSELF IN THE LEG WHILE CLEANING SHOTGUN
Yesterday, Deputy Elijah Tollett responded to Tresa Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arriving, Deputy Tollett made contact with the complainant and the victim who stated he had accidentally shot himself in the left leg while attempting to clean a shotgun.
The deputy placed a tourniquet on his left leg to stop the bleeding, while Deputies Brink and Templeton went to the residence across the street located where the incident occurred before the victim went to his neighbor’s residence for help.
The neighbor stated that he and the victim had been in an argument, but refused to further elaborate on what had occurred.
The victim was transported by EMS where he was flown to Erlanger for treatment, and Investigators Smith, Wirey, and Loshbough responded and took over the investigation.
As of yet, no charges have been filed.
