On Monday, October 17, authorities responded to Vandever Road in Cumberland County for a male that shot himself in the hand. Ricky Reynolds, age 51, was cleaning his 22 Caliber gun when it accidentally fired a round into his left hand.

Mr. Reynolds stated that the accident happened two hours prior to EMS getting there because he did not have a phone and had his friend take him to the gas station before he was able to call.

He was airlifted to UT Medical Center.
