MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY THREATENING OFFICER FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH
Cumberland County deputies responded to a reported vehicle accident yesterday on the 900 block of Fredonia Road. Officers arrived to see a gray Nissan Pathfinder crashed off the road in the trees, with the driver, 18-year-old Robert Paul Jenkins of Crab Orchard, behind the wheel. According to the arrest report, Jenkins threatened to attack and cut the throat of the arresting officer once he was released from jail. Jenkins was charged with DUI, underage consumption of alcohol, driving without a license, and making threats against an officer.
