MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING ACCIDENT ON I-40
A Jackson, Tennessee man is facing several charges in Roane County following an accident. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by 27-year-old Jeremy Lamar Cobb was traveling east on I-40 at the 342 mile marker this past weekend when he ran off the interstate and rolled on its top. Troopers say Cobb was the only occupant and fled the scene on foot. He was caught a mile away from the accident scene on the interstate. Cobb was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property over $1,000.
