A Roane County man is facing numerous charges following a traffic stop. A deputy observed a silver Volkswagen at the Pilot off of Lawnville Road and a check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers say the driver, 35-year-old Matthew Aaron Scott of Kingston, was wanted by the Kingston Police Department in connection with the vehicle. The Volkswagen was later returned to its owner and Scott was transported to the Roane County jail charged with nine counts of violation of probation and one count each of theft of a motor vehicle and failing to appear in court.
