MAN ARRESTED FOR WALMART THEFT; OFFERS TO RETURN ITEMS IF CHARGES DROPPED
On May 27, 2025, Officer Jessie Henson responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Dispatch reported a white 1998 Ford F150 leaving the scene with stolen merchandise around 12:55. A Walmart loss prevention officer reported observing a male on camera collecting items in a cart, bypassing all points of sale, and exiting at 12:54. Video footage confirmed the suspect entered at 12:37, gathered items, and left without paying.
Cumberland County deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the suspect as Jesse Michael Maynard. Maynard offered to return the items if charges were dropped. Officers recovered stolen merchandise valued at $1,026.48, which was verified by Zglinicki.
Maynard was arrested, charged with theft of property, and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where the loss prevention officer retrieved the recovered items.
