A Crossville man is facing several charges following a home invasion late last night (Thursday, November 2, 2017). According to the arrest report, police responded to an apartment in the 500^th block of Myrtle Avenue where officers noted several windows broken upon their arrival. Officers say two subjects inside in a fight and entered the dwelling. Police say 26-year-old Matthew James Goforth allegedly made entry into the apartment in a window that he allegedly broke and attacked a male subject inside. The victim was treated by EMS for injuries sustained. Goforth was arrested for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault for allegedly strangling the victim, domestic assault for striking a woman at the scene, and two counts of vandalism.
