A Birchwood, Tennessee man was killed this afternoon (Monday, September 4, 2017) when his truck went off-road and crashed into a building in Rhea County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol say 63-year-old Larry Knam was driving east on State Highway 443 when he came to a left curve in the road. Troopers say Knam continued straight, went off the road, and hit a building. Knam was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers says Knam was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
