MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FRAUD, THEFT, AND ASSAULT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

According to a report by the Crossville Chronicle, William Robert Weida, a 31-year-old former Randolph Road resident, pleaded guilty in Cumberland County Criminal Court to seven counts related to home improvement fraud and theft incidents that occurred between April and June 2021. The charges included two counts of home improvement fraud, theft over $10,000, theft, two counts of theft over $1,000, theft up to $1,000, and domestic assault.
The case was delayed due to Weida’s extended incarceration in Pennsylvania for separate theft-related convictions in Susquehanna County. He received a 66-month jail sentence to be served concurrently with his Pennsylvania sentence, along with credit for 1,482 days already served in custody.
Weida was ordered to pay over $73,075 in restitution to seven victims, with individual amounts ranging from $825 to $51,000, while fines and court costs were waived.
Following the hearing, he was returned to Pennsylvania to continue serving his remaining sentence there.
