MAN SUSPECTED OF BUSINESS THEFTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

A suspect in a business theft was recently arrested by Crossville police on other charges. Officers responded to Kats Car Wash on West Avenue and saw 29-year-old Richard Aaron Flowers of Crossville exit quickly from a vehicle. Officers told Flowers to stop as he had outstanding warrants but he reportedly ran off. Flowers was later taken into custody in a back yard of a 10th Street residence. Police asked to search the vehicle since Flowers was a suspect in two recent thefts at Tractor Supply. Officers located multiple knives matching ones taken from the business. Flowers was served the warrants and charged with evading arrest. In an unrelated separate case after Flowers was transported to jail, police reportedly found a plastic bag containing three bags of meth, a syringe and pills in a garbage can at the car wash. The items were seized and later destroyed.
