MAN WITH FELONY CHARGES TO APPEAR IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT ON MONDAY

The Cumberland County General Sessions Court criminal court docket for Monday, June 8th, includes three charges against Ryan Reynolds stemming from an incident on April 29, 2026. According to the affidavit of complaint filed by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Ridge Long, the encounter began when Trooper Long conducted a traffic stop on a red Honda Accord that was impeding interstate traffic.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana, and Reynolds subsequently admitted to having the substance inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 28 grams of marijuana and a Taurus 9mm handgun.

Following a records check, authorities discovered that Reynolds has an extensive criminal history, including a prior felony conviction out of Colusa, California, for making criminal threats with intent to terrorize, as well as multiple other felony arrests without listed dispositions. As a result of the stop and the findings, Reynolds was arrested, transported for booking, and formally charged on May 1, 2026.

The three specific charges filed against him are Schedule IV drug manufacturing, delivery, sale, or possession; employing a firearm with the intent to go armed during a dangerous felony; and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
