After about two hours, a search for a suspect who got away from Roane County deputies in the Midtown area is over. Sheriff Jack Stockton said his officers went to an address on Bluff Road shortly after 9 a.m. today to arrest 34-year-old Charles Kennedy on drug and weapons charges. After he was handcuffed, Kennedy reportedly ran from law enforcement into a wooded area. He was later caught hiding on a roof of a garage at 761 Old Highway 70. Kennedy was transported to the jail in Kingston.
