MARK KELLY ARRESTED AFTER BEING SPRAYED WITH MACE FOR TRESPASSING AND MAKING THREATS

A local man was arrested on Sunday, August 9, 2026, after repeatedly trespassing, screaming profanities, and charging at residents on Goodwin Circle, according to the Crossville Police Department.

Mark Thomas Kelly Jr. was taken into custody by Master Police Officer Justin Farmer following an incident at 100 Goodwin Circle. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the location regarding an intoxicated male making threats who had just been sprayed with mace.

Investigators learned that Kelly had officially been banned from a Goodwin Circle property earlier that afternoon at approximately 1:03 PM by Lt. Dustin Lester. Despite the ban, Kelly continued to yell at the residents from his front porch before aggressively rushing across the road toward them.

A resident told police that when Kelly crossed onto the property, he defended the area by spraying Kelly with mace (OC-17) and pushing him back off the land. The Resident provided officers with video footage confirming the sequence of events.

Upon arrival, officers found Kelly lying in a yard at Goodwin Circle, heavily intoxicated and struggling to stand. He was placed into custody without further incident and transported to the Justice Center. Kelly was served with warrants for Criminal Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.
