Mary Ruth Bryant Tucker, age 87, was born May 22, 1934 to Samuel E. and Bessie Cleo Howard Bryant in Scott’s Gulf, Tennessee and passed away in her home in Crossville July 20, 2021.

She is survived by her spouse of 70 years: Joseph H. Tucker; daughters: Pam and Dennis Shields of Crossville, Doris Beckett of Nashville, and Donna and Sonny Rose of Crossville; grandchildren: Emily Shields, Parker Shields, Brent Bolin, Chris Bolin, Chelsey Woody, Clint Rose, and Kristie Tucker; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Barbara and Don Lambert, Terry and Regina Bryant, Roger and Pam Bryant, and Jim and Brenda Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Margaret Bryant, Alene Adams, and Winnie Ellen Bryant; brother: Robert E. Bryant; son: Bobby Tucker; and son-in-law: Tony Lander.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 23, 2021, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. central with a service to follow. Burial will be at 1 p.m. central Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Thomas Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Cumberland County.
