Late this morning, officials with Maverick Oil along with city and county dignitaries, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility in Crossville in the Interchange Business Park. Maverick Oil is based in Southern California and supplies items such as vegetable oil and blends to major bakeries such as Flowers. Crossville Mayor James Mayberry thanked the company for choosing Crossville and Cumberland County Mayor Kenneth Carey Jr. said he appreciates the jobs that Maverick Oil will bring in. Maverick Oil President and Managing Partner Chase Breuer told 105.7 News initially the building will be a 15,000 square foot building with a half-million dollar initial investment with plans to grow up to 50,000 square feet. Breuer added the company will look to employ 15 to 20 people. Construction will start soon on the building.
