Citizens wishing to submit a letter of interest in filling the vacated property assessor position in Cumberland County have until noon central July 8, 2021 to do so.

Former Property Assessor Lori Ann Powell passed away back on May 20. Sandy Gilbert has been serving on an interim basis.

All responding should include a cover letter, why they are interested, qualifications and related experience and mail it to: Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, 2 North Main Street #203, Crossville, TN 38555.

The full county commission will review the applicants in their July 19, 2021 session. Citizens can also submit their candidacy at the start of the meeting. The individual selected by the commission will serve the remainder of Powell’s term.
