MEMPHIS GROUP PRESENTS WORKFORCE ANALYSIS DATA IN CROSSVILLE
This week, the Crossville/Cumberland County/Chamber of Commerce revealed the results of an intensive target industry and workforce development analysis for the area. The analysis and presentation was prepared by Younger Associates from Memphis and, according to C of C President Brad Allamong, has been two years in coming. The report, which was presented to an audience of residents, along with city and county officials, was given by Sharon Younger and revealed numerous statistics about the regions’ “labor shed.” 767 surveys were completed on residents ages 18-65+ and included those with full and part time jobs and those who have never worked. The results of the analysis can be found on the Crossville city website under the city council’s minutes and agendas. Click on the May 10 special session with Younger Associates. The report was funded by over 40 contributors including the City of Crossville and Cumberland County.
