Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad, along with Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad worked Monday to locate a Cumberland County man, 54-year-old Wade Davis, who was swept away by high waters at the devil’s breakfast table in Morgan County.

Davis had reportedly gone fishing with a friend at Daddy’s Creek and lost his footing.  His friend said the last he saw of Davis he was floating down the river.  Other agencies were called in to assist the search effort including helicopters and drones.

Davis was not located.  According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the search has been postponed due to high and rapid waters.
