A Crossville individual is facing a charge after reportedly attempting to strangle a woman. Police were called Saturday to an area of Tabernacle Street where one officer allegedly saw 37-year-old Timothy Wayne Moore with his hands around a woman’s neck. Moore disregarded multiple commands from the officers to release her. The officers grabbed Moore and eventually got him to release the hold on the victim. Moore was arrested for aggravated assault and taken to the Cumberland County jail.
