A Morgan County convicted sex offender has been arrested by Roane County authorities. Officers say 52-year-old David Milton Wales of Oakdale is charged with five counts of violation of the sex offender registry/residential work restrictions. He was taken to the Roane County jail and placed under bonds totaling $35,000. Wales is classified as violent against children and was placed on the registry after his conviction of attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery five years ago.
