ONE HURT IN VEHICLE VS. SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT IN NORTHERN RHEA COUNTY
The Tennessee Highway Patrol released more information over the weekend regarding a vehicle versus a school bus accident late Friday afternoon. Troopers say a 2003 Nissan driven by 32-year-old Jacob Beshears of Somerset, Kentucky rear ended a school bus operated by 56-year-old Jeffrey Ray of Evensville on Highway 27 north of Spring City. Initially, no students were reported injured but some parents took their children to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Beshears had to be extricated from the wreckage of his vehicle and flown to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment. Ray was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
