MORGAN COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE INVESTIGATION INTO 6 MONTH-OLD MURDER CASE
Morgan County Investigators continue to probe a murder case that is six months old. The body of Pete McCarrol was discovered on the morning of April 18th outside of the Allied Metal Recovery & Refining Business on Gouge Hollow Rd. near Coalfield. Although a couple of suspects have been questioned, nothing substantial has surfaced. The District Attorney General’s Office says that McCarroll was badly beaten and shot and that they believe thousands of dollars in cash was stolen from the victim. Family and friends of McCarroll continue to offer a $10,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator of the crime.
