The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Michelle R. Beck, age 30, of Morganton, North Carolina, in connection with a recent home invasion in the Chestnut Ridge community.

On January 13, 2026 deputies and detectives responded to a residence located at 5931 Nashville Highway following reports of a burglary and assault. Through the course of the investigation, evidence and victim statements identified Beck as the alleged intruder responsible for the burglary and assault. Deputies and Detectives developed probable cause to charge and arrest Beck in connection with the incident.

Beck has been charged with Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, 2 counts Aggravated Assault, and Theft of Property. She is currently being held in the Morgan County Jail on no bond currently.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
