A single-vehicle accident in Cumberland County this morning left a mother and child hurt. Twenty-eight year old Bridgett Lake was traveling on Pomona Road with her 9-year-old daughter as a passenger when Lake struck an unknown object in the road.

Lake spoke to 1057 News this afternoon about the seconds leading up to the crash.

“We hit something or even a bump in the road. My car slid to the ditch, smashed into a man’s driveway and the rest is hard to tell. My driver’s door was unable to open and the window had been completely smashed out,” said Lake.

Lake and her daughter were taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
