MOTHER GIVES BIRTH TO HEALTHY BABY ALONG I-40

A Roane County mother thought she would be bringing a new baby into the world at Christmastime. The baby had other plans however. Lyntette Swords original due date was Dec. 28, but Swords began labor pains on Nov. 21. As Swords was being driven to the nearest hospital, which was around 40 miles away, the baby, who is named Quinten Lee Reese Sneed, decided to come along at right about the Buttermilk Road exit on Interstate 40. The child’s father pulled alongside the road and a friend helped Swords deliver the baby right there. Now five weeks later, Quinten is a healthy, alert child who had his own agenda.
