MOTORCYCLE STOLEN FROM WOODMERE MALL IN CROSSVILLE

On August 30, 2025, at approximately 2:34 AM, Officer Amy Sherrill of the Crossville Police Department was dispatched to Exon Gas at Woodmere Mall in Crossville regarding a stolen motorcycle. The complainant reported that his white 2008 Hyosung GT650, valued at $400, was stolen from behind a mattress store at Cumberland Plaza, where it was parked around 8:00 PM on August 29, 2025, under a “No Parking” sign.

He discovered the motorcycle missing at 2:00 AM after returning from several stops. He provided documentation indicating he purchased the non-operational motorcycle for $400 on August 24, 2025. He suspected that an individual might be involved, but he lacked evidence.

Officer Sherrill contacted towing companies, none of which reported towing the motorcycle, and noted a small camera at the location that might have recorded the theft. Flock cameras did not capture the motorcycle.

As of August 30, the motorcycle was not entered into the NCIC as stolen due to unverified ownership. By September 1, 2025, the motorcycle had been recovered and taken to the CPD impound. Still, Officer Sherrill was unable to contact the complainant to determine if he wished to pursue theft charges.
