MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORTED ON LANTANA ROAD

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released an accident report late yesterday of a multi vehicle crash near the 6,000 block of Lantana Road last Thursday (April 1, 2021). The report states a 2015 Nissan Rouge driven by a 16-year-old juvenile female from Crossville, a 2018 Nissan Kicks operated by a 17-year-old juvenile female from Crossville, and a 2000 Chevy driven by 27-year-old James Waylon Henning of Crossville were all traveling south. The two teen drivers slowed down for a motorists ahead of them turning into a private drive when Henning rear ended one of the minors resulting in a chain reaction crash. No injuries were reported. Trooper First Class Nicholas Neal stated Henning was charged with his second driving on a revoked license offense, following too close, failure to exercise due care and violation of the financial responsibility law (driving without proof of insurance).
