Nashville man charged with sexual battery of 12-year-old

FOX 17 NASHVILLE, Tenn.–A 12-year-old girl walking down 2nd Avenue North on Saturday was the victim of a sexual assault after a 29-year-old man grabbed her buttocks and fled the scene.

According to the arrest affidavit for Randall Marozik, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North around 7:40pm on Saturday. The 12-year-old told police Marozik approached her and grabbed her buttocks with his hands Randall Marozithen fled on foot towards Broadway.

About 40 minutes later, a witness to the assault saw Marozik in front of a Broadway location and identified him as the suspect. Police responded and arrested Marozik, finding a “smoke pipe” that smelled of marijuana in his pocket.

Marozik was charged with aggravated sexual battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
