Nashville is on a short list to potentially host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Yesterday, FIFA announced the United States will be hosting the games, along with Mexico and Canada. The list of potential cities to host the Cup is down to 23 cities in North America, including Nashville. If Nashville wins the bid, the World Cup would be held at Nissan Stadium, which can hold more than 69,000 soccer fans and expand to 75,000. There would be thousands more fans in the streets.
