NASHVILLE’S NEW FEDERAL COURTHO– USE TO BE NAMED AFTER SEN. FRED THOMPSON
Nashville’s new federal courthouse will be posthumously named after one of the state’s most famous politician/actors. The U.S. Senate approved the vote to name the new building after former Sen. Fred Thompson who died in 2015. Thompson was a lawyer and prosecutor, while also being an actor who played in over 20 movies, including Die Hard 2. He also starred in the television series “Law & Order.” Sen. Lamar Alexander announced the Senate vote Wednesday.
