NATHAN’S AND CURTIS BEEF MASTER BEEF FRANKS RECALLED

John Morrell and Co. has issued a recall on some beef frank products after receiving complaints of metal objects found inside the packages.

The company announced the recall of 210,606 pounds of ready-to-eat hot dog products Friday.

A statement from the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture says the recall involves products bearing the number “EST. 296” on the side of the package.
The items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

John Morrell and Co. received three complaints of the metal objects inside the and notified the USDA. There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injuries from consumption of the products have been reported.

The beef frank items were produced on January 26, 2017.

The following products are subject to recall:

14 oz. sealed film packages containing “Nathan’s SKINLESS 8 BEEF FRANKS,” with a Use By date of Aug. 19, 2017.
16 oz. sealed film packages containing “Curtis BEEF MASTER Beef Franks,” with a Use By date of June 15, 2017.

Customers can either throw the product away or return them to the place of purchase.
