NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE: ONE INJURED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY FROM SEVERE WEATHER
The National Weather Service in Nashville says one person was hurt in the severe storms that hit Cumberland County early this morning. A man was injured after a tree fell through an RV parked at Deer Run RV Resort on Peavine Firetower Road. He was treated at Cumberland Medical Center and later released. A female in the RV escaped injury.
A tractor-trailer was reported blown over on its side on Taylor’s Chapel Road in Cumberland County.
Widespread damage was reported in Cumberland and surrounding counties from the high winds associated with the storm.
The National Weather Service told 105.7 News they will send a damage assessment team to Cumberland County and neighboring counties tomorrow (Monday, March 30, 2020) to determine if straight line winds or a tornado caused the damage.
