Morristown police have charged 38-year-old Jacob Thomas Marzullo of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, with second-degree murder in the death of Thomas Frederick Taylor at a Morristown hotel.

Authorities responded to a disturbance and medical call at the Econo Lodge in West Morristown about 6 p.m. Monday; they found Taylor dead at the scene. Investigators say a physical altercation over a possible theft may have led to the murder.

Morristown Police Department investigators charged Jacob Thomas Marzullo of Maggie Valley, North Carolina with second-degree murder after authorities said he had a physical altercation over a possible theft with the victim, Thomas Frederick Taylor.

Marzullo is currently being held without bond in the Hamblen County Jail.
