A near head-on collision with a Roane County deputy last night landed a man in jail after a high speed chase. A deputy was traveling on Highway 58 towards Kingston when a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Cody Allen Leach reportedly passed another car on a double yellow line and came close to colliding with the officer. The deputy caught up to Leach at the intersection of Highway 58 and Woodly Lane. The pursuit ended on Hickory Hollow Road. Leach was arrested for reckless driving, evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
