NETFLIX RAISING PRICE OF SOME PLANS
Video rental and streaming video giant is raising the prices on two of its plans, the company’s first price hike in two years. Netflix’s standard plan, which lets users watch video on two screens at once, is rising from $9.99 a month to $10.99 a month. The company’s premium plan, which gives users four streams and 4K content, is rising from $11.99 per month to $13.99 per month. The company’s basic single stream service will remain $7.99 per month. The prices are expected to rise in November. Anyone signing up for the service now will reportedly see the new prices. Netflix passed the 50 million subscriber mark earlier this year, passing the number of subscribers to America’s largest cable companies.
