NEW HARRIMAN CITY COUNCIL MEMBER CHOSEN; STILL ONE VACANT SEAT
The Harriman City Council met in session Tuesday night. The first item on the agenda was to appoint two new council members. Those seats were vacated by the election of Wayne Best to Mayor and Allen Hickman who decided not to accept the post after winning the vote because of his job as Recreation Director. Mayor Best decided to ask for support from runner-up in the election Sam Russell. Russell agreed to the appointment and was approved by the other council members. It was decided that the remaining seat stay vacant for the time being.
