The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a school bus accident in Crossville Tuesday afternoon on Dooley Street. The report released late yesterday states the bus operated by 70-year-old Walter E. Nunley, Sr. of Crossville made a left-hand turn into the parking lot of the driver’s license center. Nunley was paying attention to a parked vehicle in front of him when he hit a unoccupied 2020 Ford Edge with the left side of the bus. Students were on board at the time and no injuries were reported. It is protocol the highway patrol responds to any school bus accident regardless of how minor or major the crash is.
