Today is the last day for Tennessee voters to register to vote in the Nov. 8 general election. Voters can choose to fill out the registration form and send it via mail or visit their local election commission office to complete the process. Local election administrators encourage voters to visit the election commission office to avoid any mail issues.
Today’s deadline does not apply to voters who have already registered but change of address and new card requests must be done before early voting begins on Oct. 19.
Voters are not required to possess their voter card in order to vote on election day or for early voting. The voter card is to let you know what polling place to use. Although, voters must bring Tennessee State or Federal ID in order to vote. Early voting begins on Oct. 19 and ends on Nov. 3.
