NWS: EF-0 TORNADO IN WHITE COUNTY ACCORDING TO PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENTS

(DEVELOPING STORY) – The National Weather Service (NWS) just issued a preliminary assessment based on damage and radar imagery from a line of severe storms this morning. Officials say EF-0 tornadoes touched down briefly with one each in White, Robertson, Cheatham, Davidson, Sumner, Trousdale, Jackson, Smith, and DeKalb counties. An EF-0 has winds of 65 up to 85 mph. A full damage report caused by each tornado will be released soon. The National Weather Service initially said a EF-0 tornado touched down in Cumberlabd County but has downgraded the event to straight line winds causing damage in the Fairfield Glade area.
